Government intervention can prove to be either:
1. Harmful & Ineffective
or
2. Helpful & Effective

The decision to use capital funding on infrastructure projects arguably can be - do the costs justify the benefit - the final analysis would be - it reimburses  the community and its citizens.

Decisions regarding the funding of some community projects could arguably influenced by special interest groups.

What some might see as a present day difficult economic problem, remember rarely will quick decisions bring the solution.  Providing this type of fix does not address the main structural economic failure, and by not addressing it, this will only lead to a deepening of already  existing financial problem.

Often projects get the go ahead without having the proper - cost verse benefit  analysis performed - which can cause long term consequences.

The unintended consequence  of an action can affect more individuals than does the original action that only directly affects a certain number of individuals.

With limited information and resources can an informed decisions ever be made? Keeping in mind hindsight has no benefits; today's decisions must be made and made correctly.
