Citizens of Carson City

Your input would be greatly appreciated on the Board of Supervisor meeting this week agenda item #33

An ordinace for land use and site design to adopt regulations to allow medical marijuana dispensaries as a conditional use within the General Commerical and General Industrial zoning districts and to allow medical marijuana cultivation facilities, production facilities, and testing laboratiories as a conditiaonal use in the Gereral Industrial. Limited Industrial,  and Airport Industrial Park zoning districts, and to establish development standards for such facilities, and other matters properly related thereto.

 

Basically, Carson City along with all of Nevada are directed to allow such facilities with the passage of Senate Bill (SB) 374

With the passage of this Senate Bill (48 pages) Carson City basically must establish an ordinance to be in compliance with SB 374. If not then Carson City could face the possibility of legal consequences.
