While reviewing the agreement between Carson City and the Brewery Art Center, which states they are to provide certain broadcast of government meetings, additionally they are to provide up to 15 minutes weekly episodes of "It's Your City".
They (BAC) accomplish these broadcast by receiving funding from the city.
The 15 minutes of It's Your City are not designated to any one person ( in the agreement) and if one elected official is granted the right/opportunity to utilize these minutes - in my opinion : then so shall ALL elected officials be granted these same rights and privileges.
This can easily be accomplished by:
setting up a rotating schedule that allows all elected officials equal time.
There should be a disclaimer made or shown on the screen that viewpoints given on the broadcast are that of the individual and do not represent the access channel or that of other elected officials.
I made a official request to the BAC and the Mayor for equal time on the segment known as "It's Your City".
